More Than ‘Fine’: Supporting Property Managers with Smarter Tools and Real Talk.

A Day to Acknowledge the Unseen Work

Today, July 25th, marks National Property Managers Day 2025—a moment to pause and recognise the professionals who keep our property landscape running. From fielding late-night maintenance calls to ensuring compliance with ever-changing regulations, property managers are often the unsung heroes of safe, secure housing.

Their work goes beyond paperwork and processes—it’s about people, pressure, and persistence. Today, we want to celebrate that dedication, and more importantly, ask: what does true support for property managers really look like?

At Forms Live, we believe it’s about more than just saying “thank you.”

It’s about giving PMs the tools and systems that make their jobs easier, and the practical insights that makes their careers sustainable. That’s why this year, we’re highlighting two powerful conversations we’ve hosted with industry experts Nina Sutton and Kylie Davis.

Acknowledging property managers also means lending an ear, listening to their concerns, and celebrating their wins. In our books, a win can be as simple as getting home in time for dinner with loved ones.

What PMs Actually Need from Their Tech

Insights from Nina Sutton, Founding Director, Property Management Partners

It’s no secret that property managers are time-poor—juggling tenant communications, legal requirements, and daily admin under immense pressure.

In our Property Manager’s Guide to Forms Live webinar, Nina shared that what PMs want most from their Proptech tools is simple:

bullet-icon-text Time-saving workflows

bullet-icon-text Peace of mind

Outdated paperwork and disconnected systems create more than just frustration—they increase risk and slow everything down.

That’s why Nina is a firm advocate for platforms like Forms Live, which;

bullet-icon-text Automatic updated forms in line with legislation changes

bullet-icon-text eSigning

bullet-icon-text Info Requests

bullet-icon-text integrates directly with CRM platforms

“If you’re still waiting on printed forms and wet signatures, you’re wasting time you don’t have,” Nina shared. “Going paperless isn’t the future—it’s right now.”

With Forms Live, property managers can operate smarter, not harder:

bullet-icon-text No more printing leases or chasing signatures

bullet-icon-text No more compliance anxiety

bullet-icon-text No more shuffling between platforms

It’s all-in-one, accessible anywhere, and updated the moment legislation changes—because compliance shouldn’t rely on sticky notes and memory.

What PMs Really Feel—But Don’t Say

Insights from Kylie Davis, CEO, Rise Initiative

While tools solve practical problems, what about the mental toll for PMs?

In the eye-opening webinar, Brain Hacks for Property Managers, Kylie explored what’s often left unsaid in the PM space: the phrase “I’m fine”.

It’s the default answer we give, especially in high-pressure roles like property management. But “fine” can often be a mask for burnout, overwhelm, and a slow drift from wellness into fatigue.

To reframe how we’re tracking throughout the day, Kylie encourages us to adopt a concept called “cruising altitude.”

“What’s your cruising altitude out of 10? Are you normally a seven? A nine? A five? And where are you sitting today?”

When stress becomes a daily default, we lose sight of how far we’ve drifted away from a productive, homeostatic state. In property management—where professionals often absorb the emotional load of tenants, owners, and legislation alike—this often goes unnoticed until it all becomes too much.

Real estate is also one of the highest-stress industries in the country, with alarming statistics:

bullet-icon-text 80% experience anxiety tied to workload

bullet-icon-text 76% have felt burnt out at some point in their careers

bullet-icon-text The suicide rate in real estate is higher than in police

This is more than a wellness issue—it’s a responsibility of the workplace, where a culture not only provides the tools, but the mental wellbeing support of all its staff.

Real Support = Smart Tools

When we talk about supporting property managers, we’re talking about more than flowers or Friday shoutouts.

It’s about:

bullet-icon-text Equipping them with the tools to work smarter, not harder

bullet-icon-text Normalising conversations around stress, burnout, and resilience

bullet-icon-text Creating a work culture where “fine” isn’t the default, and wellbeing is part of the strategy

Because less stress in systems means less stress on your people.
