easyAML includes tools for risk assessment, AML program documentation, staff training, transaction monitoring and compliance reporting.
The platform uses training controls and completion tracking to support staff readiness before they manage customer workflows.

[easyAML platform walkthrough]
Ches: We'll run through the easyAML platform itself before jumping into the Forms Live integration. The dashboard gives you a live view across five key areas: tasks, transactions, entities, training status, and compliance and reporting obligations — a compliance cockpit for everything you need to track your AML obligations. The tasks section is where outstanding action items surface — a verification initiated but not completed, a risk assessment awaiting review.
Important: The easyAML platform is locked until mandatory training is completed. Staff cannot access entities or transactions until their training modules are finished and logged.
Ches: Training is mandatory — you're required to keep a training log proving to AUSTRAC which staff completed which training, at what level, and when. Different roles require different levels. The easyAML training dashboard tracks completion status across your team automatically, and you pull the report directly from the platform when AUSTRAC asks for evidence.
We lock the rest of the platform until training is done because we don't want agents running verifications before they understand what they're doing. Training typically takes an hour or two.
Ches: Once training is done, the next step is completing your risk assessment and generating your AML program. The platform asks a series of questions about your business and generates a tailored AML program based on your answers — not a generic template. You review it, make adjustments, and formally sign it off — the program isn't active until it's formally approved inside the platform. There's also an annual review requirement, and easyAML will prompt you when it's due.
Key step: Your AML program must be formally reviewed and signed off inside the platform before it becomes active. Generating it is not enough.
Ches: The entities section is where your clients live, both individuals and companies — when you verify someone, they become an entity with their verification status, risk level, and history stored there. If you've verified a vendor before within their review period, you find their existing record rather than starting from scratch.
The transactions section is where most day-to-day compliance work happens — you record the property address, transaction value, reason, and link the relevant parties, and the platform guides you through the compliance steps for that transaction type. An insights section lets you generate your AUSTRAC reports, including the annual compliance report.
[Forms Live integration demonstration — contract of sale]
AJ: You're in Forms Live filling in a contract of sale as normal. When ready to initiate the AML check, you connect the easyAML integration through the sidebar — a single click, done once. After that, all the information already entered in the form passes across to easyAML automatically. You initiate verification with a click, and the risk result comes back directly to the sidebar — green for low risk.
Ches: What I love about what the Forms Live team has done is how visually clear that risk indicator is. Most of the time you'll see green and move on, but in the occasional medium or high risk case, it's immediately obvious.
AJ: That was top of mind for us — agents didn't want extra steps or to have to interpret results. The red/green flag system is something everyone already understands.
[Forms Live integration demonstration — exclusive sale authority]
AJ: The same process applies to an exclusive sale authority — seller details are pre-populated in the easyAML sidebar, and the risk result comes back as low, medium, or high. If you have multiple sellers on one authority, easyAML handles that automatically, adding all sellers to the case and verifying each — the same applies for multiple buyers. If a result needs more investigation, there's a direct link into the easyAML platform for that case.
Ches: The key thing to emphasise is what's not happening: there's no double entry. Whatever you've put into Forms Live comes across to easyAML, and whatever easyAML produces comes straight back. You're not jumping between systems or increasing the chance of errors.
AJ: Before building the AML integrations, we interviewed a lot of agents about what the best flow would look like — the consistent answer was: don't add steps, don't make us go between systems, make the risk result obvious. The integration is bidirectional: data goes from Forms Live to easyAML when you initiate a check, and results come back when the check completes.
Ches: From our side, the integration knows exactly who you are — your industry, account configuration, compliance officer details — and runs the right workflow automatically. You don't have to configure anything on a per-transaction basis.
Bottom line: 1 July is the start line, not the finish line. These integrations will continue to improve as feedback comes in.
